Gordon Brown launches Building Britain's Future

Gordon BrownLabour's Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, has launched 'Building Britain's Future', a plan setting out how the Labour Government will create a fairer, stronger and more prosperous country.

The plan’s focus on jobs highlights the Labour Government’s belief that the country cannot afford to lose another generation to unemployment as the Conservatives allowed to happen in the past.

By guaranteeing every young person who has been out of work for a year a job, training or work experience, Labour will ensure both that individuals and the country are well placed to seize the opportunities presented as we move out of recession.

Building Britain’s Future sets out how Labour will put Britain’s economy back on track, continue to improve schools, hospitals, policing and our national infrastructure and clean up politics.

Labour's Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, said:

“In this plan for Building Britain’s Future we are determined to take forward the progressive reforms of the last decade.

"Our task after three terms in office is not merely to defend Britain’s achievements over the last decade but to work even harder so as to meet new challenges with the same sense of conviction.”
